Choosing the ideal size for your decorative wall art may seem challenging, but we’re here to help you make the process simple and practical!
Sizes
Knowing the right option for your space is extremely important to ensure that your decoration looks beautiful and harmonious!
A wall art piece with a size that doesn’t complement your decor can be the reason your decoration isn’t as perfect as it could be today.
Here at PrimeWallArt, we offer four size options: Ultra-Giant, Giant, Large, and Medium.
Each of them fits differently into your decor, so it’s crucial to choose the one that’s perfect for your space!
Ultra-Giant
Our Ultra-Giant size measures 1.72m in height and 1.29m in length!
It’s the perfect choice for large spaces or when you want practicality, filling your wall with an enormous piece of wall art that becomes the centerpiece!
Giant
Next, we have the Giant size, measuring 1.24m in height and 93cm in length.
It’s perfect for medium-sized spaces where you want to fill your decor with a unique and stunning work of art. It’s also a practical option when you don’t want to create compositions with other wall art pieces or decorative items.
Large
The Large size, measuring 1m in height and 75cm in width, is the choice that suits most spaces, especially smaller ones where you still want to feature a standout wall art piece in your decor.
Medium
Lastly, we offer the Medium size, measuring 64cm in height and 48cm in length. It’s the ideal size for smaller spaces or when you want to create compositions with multiple wall art pieces or other decorative objects.
Installation
Now that your wall art is in your hands and you’ve unpacked it, it’s time to hang it on your wall.
To ensure it shines on your wall as it truly deserves, follow our advice!
Always support your wall art with more than one anchor point
Most people support their wall art with just one point of attachment (nails, screws, hooks, wall anchors, etc.), and this is one of the main reasons why damage can occur in the long run.
This happens because:
- Supporting the wall art in only one location concentrates its balance there, creating a stress point.
- This stress point, because it’s not distributed throughout the entire structure of the wall art, can overload and cause changes in the wood frame, resulting in distortions and even cracks.
With larger wall art pieces, such as ours, and those with glass finishes, this issue becomes more critical, as they are larger and heavier, requiring more substantial support. When they don’t have it, their lifespan is drastically reduced.
Ensure that anchor points are parallel
Another important recommendation during wall art installation is that the anchor points should be parallel, i.e., at the same height. This prevents the problem of having a crooked wall art piece, as it will already be aligned when you hang it!
Tip from PrimeWallArt
If you use an iOS device and don’t have a level, you can simply open the “Measure” app to assist you. It has a leveling function, among other useful features. Similar apps are also available on the PlayStore for Android devices.
Say goodbye to crooked wall art using parallel supports!
Be cautious about the height at which you install your wall art!
Determining the perfect height for your wall art is crucial to create a harmonious and stylish environment! However, depending on the number of wall art pieces you place on your wall, their arrangement may need to vary to achieve the perfect composition.
Learn with us!
When installing a single wall art piece on your wall, imagine a line dividing it in half. This line should be positioned at 1.60m from the floor, as this is the average eye level of a person.
Now, if you intend to position your wall art above a piece of furniture (such as a sofa), it’s important to follow the 1.60m rule and leave a space of 15-20cm between them.
If you want to create a composition with two wall art pieces, it’s recommended to install them with a 5 to 10cm space between them.
And don’t forget the parameters we mentioned earlier, as they continue to apply here.
Real-Life Examples
In this section, we’ve selected images from our customers’ spaces to show you which arrangements to be inspired by and which mistakes to avoid. Take a look!
In Felipe Franco’s home, the “Discipline, Execution, and Focus” set was placed at the correct eye level and followed the recommended distance from the furniture.
In this case, despite the beautiful decorative composition by one of our customers, the “Iceberg of Success” wall art was not hung at the recommended 1.60m height. Additionally, the distance from the furniture exceeds the recommended 15-20cm.
In this setting, unfortunately, the recommended eye-level height was not followed. As a result, there’s a sense of imbalance in the wall art’s position because it was installed higher than it should be.
In this space, the wall art piece is hung at the recommended eye-level height of 1.60m, creating harmony in the room.
